Students must be aged 16 or over by 1st of September on year of entry. Mature students are also welcome and are encouraged to apply if they feel the course will benefit their career. Previous dance experience is essential as the course will be heavily practical, in keeping with the demands of the industry.
Admission to the course is by audition only. It is important to us that each student has the opportunity to show his or her own personality and dance strength. On audition day, students will take part in a class in their chosen strand, Stage or Hiphop, perform a prearranged solo and have an interview with the Artistic Director and staff. Auditions are held at various times of the year, and upon application you will be notified of the date to attend.
FUNDING
Hype Dance Company offers a Scholarship programme to help students who may otherwise not be able to take up their place. Students will have to meet certain criteria and will be graded at the audition process. Evidence will be asked for in the form of proof of household income - for more information please contact us.
FEES
The course is 41 weeks long this term & the total cost of the course is £3225.00 if paid on the due dates outlined below.
Term 1 must be paid for in full by ALL students on the due date given. Students wishing to do so may pay for terms 2 & 3 at an increased weekly rate of £90.00 per week.
- Term 1: Tuesday 4th September 2012 to Thursday 13th December 2012 - £1100.00 (due by 4th September 2012)
- Term 2: Tuesday 8th January 2013 to Thursday 28th March 2013 - £945.00 (due by 8th January 2013) or £1080.00 at the weekly rate
- Term 3: Tuesday 16th April 2013 to Thursday 25th July 2013 - £1180.00 (due by 16th April 2013) or £1350.00 at the weekly rate
Payment must be made by cheque (payable to Hype Dance Ltd) or BACS transfer (bank details on request) by the dates outlined above. Cheques must have cleared by the given dates so please allow at least 7 working days. If a payment is late, the student will automatically be placed onto the weekly rate of £90.00 for the remainder of the course.
If for any reason a student wants to leave the course, 12 weeks notice must be given in writing to the course manager and a full 12 weeks fees (£943.90) will be payable.
