Hype Dance Academy offers dance classes in Sheffield with lessons & workshops in Hiphop, street dance, break dance, ballet, jazz, creative dance, body conditioning, pilates, tap, modern and Zumba.
Students are taken from as young as 3 for some subjects, and there’s no upper age limit. Each tutor works to develop students, not just teach them!
We run open classes at various levels as well as exam classes.
Exam classes are where students can work towards achieving qualifications through the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) or the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in our dance school.
Open dance classes have no exams, and can be done purely for fun, exercise or personal development and a love of dance!
There is an opportunity for Hype students to take part in many performances and events throughout the year and each class takes part in our annual show during December. Recent events our Academy students have performed at include:

- Sport Relief Mile for Red Nose Day
- Arches School Sport Partnership
- Lord Mayor’s Day
- Tramlines Festival
- AbFab Fashion Show
- Chance 2 Dance - every year since it began!
We regularly have guest tutors to teach professional workshops. Previous guest teachers have included Robert Hylton Urban Classicism (UK), Future (NYC), Jennifer Weber & Decadance (NYC), Fred Folkes (UK) and Renegade Dance Theatre (Germany).

There are no refunds given if you decide to leave during a class or of pre-paid monthly fees due to missing a class.
